Meet our Therapists

Kayle Torres, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT 96009

My Experience: I have worked with children and families for over 20 years. I have worked as a nanny, preschool teacher, and childcare director. I have extensive experience working with children with special needs and offering support to their parents. I have a passion for working with children and parents, whether it is support while potty training or an exploration after a child leaves home. While I work with all ages; I LOVE working with middle school and high school children. I have created and supervise a middle/high school social skills training program in El Dorado Hills. I’ve also worked closely with schools as an ERMHS provider (educationally related mental health services) and collaborated with IEP teams to support students in and outside of the classroom.I work with all populations, however specialize in working with children and young adults that are neurodiverse (autism, ADHD) as well as providing support to their families.

I chose Marriage Family Therapy as a career because I saw how many parents just needed a little support and wanted to be able to assist and offer healing for families. Therapeutic Style: Therapy is a collaborative experience that is created by the therapist and the client. I hope to create a safe and supportive environment that allows us to walk together through our journey of therapy. I am knowledgeable in various types of therapy including Murray Bowen’s Family Systems approach and Solution-Focused therapy, CPT, and DBT. Education: I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from California State University, Sacramento and my Master’s of Arts Degree in Psychology with emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy at Brandman University.

Attention to your mental health is essential for living a fulfilling and balanced life, although taking the time to do so is not always easy. Suffering trauma and intense life stressors can bring tremendous emotional, psychological, and physical discomfort. I am passionate about partnering with those struggling with mental health or seeking someone to support them in their journey for continued personal growth.
I desire to create a caring and safe space for my clients to help explore and discover themselves, empowering each of my clients to overcome the difficulties they are facing.
After a life-changing divorce, I faced considerable changes in my life, and those who provided support, compassion, and empathy were monumental in helping me cope with such a devastating time in my life.
I look forward to entering this journey of healing with you.
